Terra Nova is the name of the planet Terras is on. Terra Nova means New Earth in latin. Terra Nova is located in the Procyon System with the local star’s being Procyon A and Procyon B. Procyon A is much like are star but slightly larger and warmer. Procyon B is a dwarf star that orbits the larger star like any other planet. On Terra Nova however, this white dwarf is only visible every 600 years. The latest accounts of “two suns” in the sky come all the way from the harpy scrolls. (See more in history). Other than this rare phenomenon, Terra Nova sees only one star.
Terra Nova’s orbit is slightly longer than Earth’s and lasts 3 months longer according to Earth’s calendar. Terra Nova also has only been able to support life because of the local star’s magnitude which delivers the same heat and brightness as Earth’s star.
Terra Nova has seven moons which according to lore represent the seven kingdoms of Terras. The first moon is most like ours in size and appearance and is called Noctiluca. This moon is known for its grey appearance and darker patches that make it appear to have a mountain on it.
The second largest moon is slightly smaller than Earth’s moon and is called, Candida. Candida is a light grey color with many craters dotting its surface. Candida has the furthest orbit from Terra Nova and appears the same size as Rutila. One astronomical event is when Candida remans hidden behind Noctiluca for half a year. Being the farthest in orbit means it has the slowest orbit. Candida’s orbit last surprisingly exactly a year on Terras. Candida is also used as a calendar tracker for many inhabitants unless it is hidden.
The third largest moon can go by two names Rubina or Rutila. Depending on which race you are, the winglets use the ancient harpy word Rubina which refers to the dine jem Rubine(See more in Winglets). Rutila, is the more common name used among the centaurs, humans, and fauns meaning red in latin. This red moon is only a few miles cubed smaller than Candida. Rutila, unlike her close sister, is closer than Candida and appears the same size as Candida. At night, when full, Rutila shines a blood red over Terra Nova and has inspired many omens, prophesies and even traditions among the drakes.
The fourth largest moon is Specula. Specula is made of mostly iron and is extreamly shiny and the brightest at night, even when half full. Specula, when full, can reflect the other moons and even Terra Nova itself. It can also shine as brightly as the sun and turn night into day. These special events happen only once every 200 years. Specula is the second farthest from Terra Nova and has an orbit that last 9 months and a half. Unlike a perfect orbit that remains parallel to the equator, Specula orbits 39 degrees off.
The fifth largest moon is the most unusual moon of all. It supports life. This moon goes by the name of Terra Pola which means smaller land. In ancient myth, it was once believed the celestials lived on Terra Pola and when one died, they went there. After the great change though, this myth was dismissed. Terra Pola has oceans and continents but is quite small being only 1/5 the size of Earth’s moon. Terra Pola has a regular orbit of 5 2/5 months with very few astronomical phenomenon.
The sixth largest moon is Avia. Avia has the third farthest orbit and appears as the smallest moon in the sky. Its name translates into lonely and this is because it appears only in the day time as a small white circle in the sky. Yet Avia will join the other moons at night once every 6 1/3 months. Avia, unlike the other moons, orbits the opposite way. This is another reason why it only appears in the day, but when it only comes out at day on Terras, Avia only comes out at night in Thracia.
The seventh largest moon is Ophita. Ophita is grey like Noctiluca and very similar to it too but has darker spots scattered all over it and appears spotted. Ophita has the closets orbit to Terra Nova and appears the same size as Noctiluca. Ancient religions once believed that Ophita and Noctiluca were sisters. Ophita’s orbit is slightly lower than the other moons but above Specula’s lower orbit.
Terra Nova has four major continents, Terras, Thracia, Remou, and Malasia.
Terras is the most populated continent with 11 countries reigning in it. Terras is known for its large mountains and red desert surrounded by the Horizon Ocean. Unlike Malasia and Thracia, Terras is one solid landmass with no islands surrounding it.

Thracia is known as the "other land" that is perfectly on the other side of the planet in relation to Terras. In other words, if you dug a hole down in Terras, you would end up in Thracia. Thracia currently has a known 2 Kingdoms in it but more may be discovered.

Malasia, when approaching from the west, seems like a tropical paradise, but from the east it is a hell. This land is very volcanic in its westward reaches and thus the name is born as Malasia known as badland. To its east it is a bay of scattered tropical islands known as the bay of shattered jewels. This land is known as the breeding grounds of drakes, dragons, and tales of a dark sorcerer whos name is yet to be discovered.
- (The) Efreet Domain
Remou is a very souther continent just south-east of Terras. Remou is wild with untamed jungles and scorching badlands. Great beast and giant serpents live here as does a strange people who live in harmony side by side with these monsters.
